A number of studies take a developmental approach to the study of psychological processes. This approach looks at human behaviour and experience in people of different ages and attempts to describe how thoughts behaviour develop. Using the core studies listed, answer the questions that follow. Samuel and Bryant (conservation) Bandura, Ross and Ross (aggression) Hodges and Tizard (social relationships)

Freud (little Hans) Ctd Example Section B Question ctd a) Describe what each study tells us about development (12) b) Using examples, give four problems psychologists may have when they study development (12)

How should I answer part a) ? Read the question! Use words from the question to frame your answer. Write about what each study tells us in separate paragraphs (you should end up with four). You should give an example about what each study tells us (usually from the studys results). Each study you describe gets a maximum of 3 marks.

Checklist for part a) Have you:Described what each study has told us about ------------------? Given an example from each study to show understanding? Written an answer for each study in a separate paragraph? How should I answer part b) ?

Part b) involves evaluation issues. What are the different evaluation issues? Evaluation Issues How should I answer part b) ? (cont..) Read the question! Use words from the question to frame your answer. Lead with the evaluation issue, and explain why it

is a problem/strength by relating it to a study from the list. Each issue should be placed in a separate paragraph Each problem/strength you discuss gets a maximum of 3 marks. Checklist for part b) Have you:Led with the issue, and discussed four? Linked each issue with a study from the
