This Project is Necessary To: Upgrade trunk water main distribution network system Reinforcing the transmission (High Pressure) system Upgrading the watermain network distribution system by connecting two end points of the existing system from Flushing to Bayside.

Improve water distribution grid system This system is being supplied by the transmission or trunk or high pressure water main distribution system. This network comprises a grid of distribution water mains with pipes diameter ranging from 8, 12, 20, and 24. The existing mains are from 1912 to 1940, they are C.I.P ( Cast Iron Pipe with lead joint) and reaching their useful. They will be replaced with Ductile Iron Pipe, more resilient with no lead joint. Ensure proper delivery of necessary services Delivering proper, clean and adequate water to the businesses, residents and fire fighting department.
