The GSC begins with the group conscience. It
also leads back to the group, since the group
has final responsibility not just for initiating, but
for implementing the decisions agreed upon by
Conference. It is the practical means by which
the group conscience can express itself
through the service structure in matters that
concern AA as a whole.

This process map is a general guide only; there
may be variations and exceptions each year as
necessary.
All dates are approximate only please refer to
our website for exact dates.
Each year, individual members, Groups, Areas
and/or the GSB can submit topics for inclusion in
the Conference agenda. Topics can be submitted
though your Area Assembly or direct to the
National Office [email protected] 48 Firth Street,
Arncliffe, NSW 2205.
Please refer to the Topic Form for guidance on
how to best prepare your topic for acceptance.
The accepted topics will be published in AA
Around Australia which starts the group
conscience discussion process. The outcome of
which is taken by the Area Delegates to
Conference to be expressed as Advisory Actions
which are then published in AA Around
Australia.
Conference is also the time for the General
Service Board (GSB) to report back to the
AA Australia
