and Haran; and Haran became the father of Lot. 28 Haran died in the presence of his father Terah in the land of his birth, in Ur of the Chaldeans. 27 - Genesis 11:27-28
Abram and Nahor took wives for themselves. The name of Abrams wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahors wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah and Iscah. 30 Sarai was barren; she had no child. 29 - Genesis 11:29-30
Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, his grandson, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abrams wife; and they went out together from Ur of the Chaldeans in order to enter the land of Canaan; and they went as far as Haran, and settled there. 32 The days of Terah were two hundred and five years; and Terah died in Haran.

Now the Lord said to Abram, Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your fathers house, To the land which I will show you; 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 1
- Genesis 12:1-2 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed. - Genesis 12:3
So Abram went forth as the Lord had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the persons which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; thus they came to the land of Canaan. 4

Abraham David Jesus The Bible in Seven Passages PASSAGE #4 Isaiah 53:1-12 Who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? 2 For He grew up before Him
like a tender shoot, And like a root out of parched ground; He has no stately form or majesty That we should look upon Him, Nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. 1 - Isaiah 53:1-2 He was despised and forsaken of
men, A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; And like one from whom men hide their face He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. - Isaiah 53:3 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God,
and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. 4 - Isaiah 53:4-5 All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way; But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him. 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth. 6 - Isaiah 53:6-7
By oppression and judgment He was taken away; And as for His generation, who considered That He was cut off out of the land of the living For the transgression of my people, to whom the stroke was due? 9 His grave was assigned with wicked men, Yet He was with a rich man in His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was there any deceit in His mouth.
8 - Isaiah 53:8-9 But the Lord was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring, He will prolong His days, And the good pleasure of the Lord will prosper in His hand. 11 As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be
satisfied; By His knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. 10 - Isaiah 53:10-11 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He
poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the transgressors; Yet He Himself bore the sin of many, And interceded for the transgressors. - Isaiah 53:12 Aspects of Jesus Suffering 1. The Manner Quietly He was oppressed and He was
afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth. Aspects of Jesus Suffering 2. The Reason Atonement But He was pierced through for our
transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed. - Isaiah 53:5 Aspects of Jesus Suffering 3. The Result Forgiveness As a result of the anguish of His soul, He will see it and be satisfied; By His
knowledge the Righteous One, My Servant, will justify the many, As He will bear their iniquities. - Isaiah 53:11 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great, And He will divide the booty with the strong; Because He poured out Himself to death, And was numbered with the

began teaching in their synagogues and was praised by all. 14 - Luke 4:14-15 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up; and as was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath, and stood up to read. 17
