put a letter for the source, if its the first source, put an A. In the upper right hand corner, put the page number you found the information onif you have one. Notetaking-ask some questions What information does this source give me?

And, each student must write a speech to persuade other students to give their money to a charity or cause of their choosing. After hearing all of the speeches, you will decide who to award your money to (cant give it to yourself). Out of my 3 classes, I will give the person with the most money $20 (check made out to the charity) to send to his/her charity.

Essay/speech should include:

Introduction including a Central Claim 2 sub claim paragraphs 2 counterclaim and rebuttal in 1 paragraph Conclusion that has a call to action 2 Pathos 2 Ethos 2 Logos Use at least 3 sources- 1 has to be an interview where you talk directly to someone (websites, personal interviews with people affected, phone call with organization, pamphlet) **When writing questions for an interview, you must write 3 beforehand and get them checked by the teacher before the interview.

Practice source card and notecard activity Using the 2 sources in front of you, make a source card for each and then take 2 notes from each sourcebe sure to label source cards and notecards.
